Roger Whitehouse has been a prominent advocate for the adoption of universal design principles to assist in making the environment accessible for the widest range of users. The proposals shown here, for vision-impaired users among others, include audio-visual wayfinding landmarks, a custom typeface for tactile reading, and a wayfinding device called BrailleRail.
